Upper Body Pain I Have Multiple Sclerosis And Severe Upper Body Pain. Does Anyone Else Have This, If So What Medicine Works?

I have multiple sclerosis and severe upper body pain. Does anyone else have this, if so what medicine works? - upper body pain

Hello,
Please note that your muscles are tight and stiff? It could be spasticity.
Spasticity may be either as a sustained stiffness due to increased muscle tension or spasms that come and go, especially occurring at night, caused. It may feel like a muscle contraction can cause severe pain. Spasticity may also produce feelings of pain or tightness in and around joints and can lead to back pain. The intensity can vary depending on your position, posture and relaxation.
A basic physical therapy program of stretching is the first step in the treatment of spasticity. A daily regimen of stretching can extend the muscles to reduce spasticity. I LOVE yoga! I suggest to try first!
If physical therapy of spasticity can not be controlled, medications for the treatment plan can be included.
Drugs commonly used to treat spasticity are baclofen and Zanaflex muscle relaxant.
Another would medication that is used to treat spasticity, is Valium, which were often useful when taken at night to relieve cramps associated with sleep disorders.
If an oral medicationare not effective, a pump can be implanted to release the drug (baclofen pump). Botox can be injected to relax muscles and locally in the affected area.
I want to get even with a massage from time to time! It's great, and it's a real pleasure!
Good Luck
